Deepest condolences to the Ben-Jochannan family for their loss of Mrs. Gertrude Ben-Johannan, Dr. Ben’s wife of over 50 years.

This site is being created in conjunction with a musical fund raiser for Dr Yosef Ben-Jochannan in NYC on June 27th at Le Grand Dakar restaurant @ 7pm.
But the sentiment goes much deeper than a one off event. Many people have been touched by Dr. Ben and his work taking groups of African Americans to Egypt and the Nile Valley to gain deeper understanding about Africans in history. Along with other great scholars and intellectuals like the late John Henrik Clark, the late Asa Hilliard, the late Ivan Van Sertima and many others, Africans across the diaspora have been taught to understand our great contributions to humanity. So on this website we say, Thank You Dr Ben!!
